What a year for 2017. Toward the middle of the year, we felt the tug to FINALLY take a leap of faith and have Dr. Smith move into his own office. He had been feeling like he wasn’t able to spend enough time or give as good of care to his patients, for a while now. We took the initial step…or phone call, in our case, and the rest is history. It still doesn’t seem real…technically it isn’t real yet… But who’s counting?
BTW have you seen the progress of the office, check out this Facebook post, and like our page while you are there.
Here is how our Christmas went down this year.
We started out the month very ambitions to fill it full of service and giving. We got some neighbor treats delivered….on December 1st. That turned out to be a good thing because if we would have waited much longer it may not have gotten done….you can read all about our grainy fudge…hint- things don’t always turn out how you want.
We headed over to St. George for the Christmas lighting event….Alexa especially had a lot of fun. As the lights came on she started to scream with excitement. It was fun to see her get into the festivities this year.
This was the first time in 12 years of being married, that we stayed home. It was good… but different. We really REALLY want our girls to know how to work and be grateful and be simple. We purchased a few gifts for them and tried to make it a day of family fun….and food. (of course)
We love games!
One family game that we got this year is the old classic Jenga. We all had fun playing it together….can you spot Jada trying to get in on the action? After Alexa got tired of playing the game she came up with her own…making words.
For Christmas morning breakfast we tried something new, Waffle Luv. The local St. George store was selling dough this year. We jumped at the chance to bake them at home. We followed their directions precisely and they turned out AMAZING! Maybe we have a new tradition here….
We had high hopes of doing a lot of service this year…we didn’t do as much as we had wanted, but it was still a magical month. Here is to a great 2018!
