How to Help Your Kids:
There are many reasons why it’s good to get outside. Here is one reason why it’s good for kids vision. There have been recent studies that indicate being outside in the sun could reduce children’s risk of having nearsightedness (myopia). Kids who are exposed to too much screen time could be missing out on proper eye development. Encourage your kids to get outside and play. Set time limits on how long they can be on digital screens. Get outside and play with them!
20/20/20 Rule
Teach your kids the 20-20-20 rule, or anyone who spends time on digital screens. After being on a digital device for 20 minutes, look up at something that is 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This helps give your eyes a break to relax and focus on something different.
